Hello Lindsay,
I am a book cover artist and I am working for an author who likes your infinity design. Her book cover has the infinity symbol on it (made out of thorns) and she would like to use your design as chapter vignettes inside her book. I can show you how it would look if you like.
I'm sure she would give you a credit line on the copyright page of her book.
Looking forward to your reply. :)

Hello Art

Thanks for your comment, it's nice to hear that people like it :) You are more than welcome to share the image as long as credit is given (a link back or such is fine). And if are using it for creative purposes, let me know how it goes as I would be curious to see the results.

I recently Googled "infinity" and came across your black and red tattoo design. I have taken quite a liking to it as well. Would it be okay for me to share the image (giving you full credit, of course)? Thanks!

I agree, music is such a powerful thing! My way of staying motivated, aside from listening to my favorite music, would be to create music and look back at all the other songs I've created. They remind me of my passion and push me to do even better. Another would be to surround myself with joy. Whether it's food, or a good book, or a funny TV show/movie, or just being with family/friends, those also keep me pretty motivated.

Hi, i found the site via your SL profile link.

I want to share a short story.

I was asked by a friend if i would do some filming for her, she was looking to make a Halloween background film to play at her home during the night of Halloween some years ago. She is easily scared herself so asked me if i could get some footage of various different locations. I'm an ex British soldier and not one to be easily scared and i think ive seen a lot over time so i thought i could help out. I filmed the local cemetary, some old factory units and finally Mony Hull Hospital grounds and site. The factory units were just windy and still. The cemetary was very cold but as i said im not one to scare easily at all. On the night of the Hospital, Mony Hull was, for want of a better discription, a mental hospital that was used by five districts, including London Borough for some of the worst potentially criminal patients they had. Access was easy and i decided to film my whole journey round. Its important to add that once on the site i waited five mins to get a feel of the place sitting close to the fence to se if there were any security guards. As soon as i turned on the camera i felt uneasy, as if being watched and i mean AS SOON AS i turned it on. I entered buildings that were thick with dust and dirt, old document drawers, tables and chairs and i filmed the rusted play area that was there, all the time feeling increasingly ill at ease. After about 20 mins i was convinced that there was someone following me, my brain was telling me not to be stupid, but this feeling was consuming, intensely. It was really strange, but i really felt something was going to happen if i stayed any longer. I made my exit from the site and genuinely felt releived that i had finished. I then felt the rush of adreneline that often accompanies this type of venture, but it was when i was well away from that site. The film turned out ok but listneing to the sound i realised that i had verbally reassured myself several times things like, "dont be stupid", "and get a grip" even though i do not recall saying anything at the time. The film was edited well and was good enough to use and im sure has been lost or erased from a hard drive somewhere. But i still remember that feeling and in comparison to the other two locations just compounded that something wasnt right. The site is now a new houseing estate but the old mortuary remains, as it is a listed building but has been refurbished into luxury apartments.

Cool look forward to seeing the other bits and pieces. Also while I got you, what in your thoughts was the most haunted or active Ward? What was best piece of evidence or best capture?

I'm really amazed by some of the EVP's you captured over in RDH epecially the ones in Ward 2 they are so clear and pronounced. Did you hear the EVP's at the time of investigating.

Regards

Hey Loco. I started my investigation of the RD nearly 6 years ago, before Nick and the Tas paranormal team. At the time, I had a blog with Live Journal (http://royalderwent.livejournal.com/) where I had the pleasure of being contacted by Nick. My partner and I did not want to be responsible for taking anyone else out with us at the time as it was a lot harder to get firm permission to do not only investigations at the RD, but in many locations in general (it is amazing how much more open minded people are today). Nick then went on to do his own research, that which you are familiar with.

I will agree that Nick's research is more details, especially in relation to current events, but it has been many years since I have done any investigating of the RD, and the posts that I will be doing in this blog is purely to achieve my work - from everything that I have already complied online (LJ, YouTube, etc) to other material I have not published. So as far as the whole credit due thing, it really is the other way round (not that I mind or mean that to sound narky - if you like, you are more than welcome to visit my LJ - http://royalderwent.livejournal.com/ and YouTube Channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/xlindsaywx). I hope that they keep going on with their research because it is an amazing site, filled with history that we should not be sweeping under the carpet.

As far as actual equipment, I had to make do with what I had then as funds were low. And when it comes to equipment, you don't need the fancy stuff at all. Something as simple as a compase will basically do the same thing as an EMF meter, an old school walkie talkie or baby monitor can be used to hear EVP and a 2mp phone camera will do the job sometimes as good (if not better) than your top of the line digital SLR.

While I may no longer investigate the RD, I am now a ghost tour guide who still tried to do the odd investigating when I have the chance (with full permission, of course) using a full HD camera with IR - the result of which are amazing!

I am more than happy to answer any questions that you have, but please remember that I am compiling my research.

Lindsay

I am more than happy to answer any questions that you have, but please remember that I am compiling my research.

Hey Nick! Thanks for your comment. The entries on here are just backing up those from my original blog on Live Journal, along with eventually a few other bits and pieces I have collected along the way, but never got the chance to put up online. As much as I would have loved to have finished my documentary, unfortunately other things prevented me from doing so. It is good to see you guys continuing on the work, keep it up :)

Hi, I’ve been interested in Willow court and Royal derwent hospital for ages and have been following the work of the Tasmanian paranormal team (www.ausparanormal.com) who conduct all the investigations at Willow court and Royal derwent hospital (and heaps of places around the state) legally. Just wondering what you think of their work?
and how you consider you're "paranormal investigation" skills compared to theirs considering they use all scientific equipment to base paranormal activity on compared to your methods which seem to lack any form of actually scientific evidence or exclusion of natural elements?.

I've read the work from nick j (royal_derwent) who seems to have had an interest in this site as long as you but has more in depth information on the history and current information about projects on the site. It also seems that he is on the willow court committee along with members of the Tasmanian paranormal team, just wondering what you contribute to the site as a whole?
seeing as you are the "original paranormal investigator of the site"?

I personally think you should pay credit to the other entities who have had a continual interest in the site (royal_derwent and www.ausparanormal.com) instead of claiming that you are the first and there for the greatest.

without these two entities me and a lot of other views wouldn’t have a clue of royal derwent hospitals and willow courts history or of the paranormal.

Thank you, (i'll be watching this page for further updates)

Hey

I was really pleased to come across your recent post in relation to RDH & WCC. It was your Royal Derwent Live Journal site that really intrigued me and got me started in developing my own site, LOL so I guess you were referring to me and my group APIU in regards to taking up our own investigations.
I still enjoy reading your old blog and watching your old videos, so if you still have the time and or interest keep it coming.
