My newest tattoo, just done fresh yesterday. I thought I would try out a new studio that opened up just before Christmas, Tassie Ink and I was very happy with the result. The Artist was a girl by the name of Candice. I have been wanting this test for a while. The words are lyrics from one of Tools songs, Parabola. I thought it fitting to have the placement on my inner left arm, over my scars.
No cool video of my own for this tat, but do check out Tool’s film clip for Parabol / Parabola. It is visually spectacular and leaves you thinking.

Hi, I’ve got scars on my arms and wanted to get tattoos over them but wasn’t sure if it’d work-but I saw your pic and looks good. Just wondering if it was any more painful, if the skin was more difficult to look after in the weeks after tat is done etc….
Hey there. Thanks for your comment. My scars are several years old so they aren’t as raised any more, making it a little easier to tattoo. It does hurt a bit going over the scars themselves as you can feel the needle kinda catching a bit on the skin and it almosts has the same feeling as that self inflicted hessetent cut, so it kinda plays a bit on your mind with the memories. As for afterwards and looking after it, at first the scars with rise up a bit so the tattoo in place can seem a little wraped, so you stress a little at first about it not being perfect. But this goes down after a couple of days. I just looked after it as I do with any other tattoo – plenty of cream regularly to keep it moist & trying not to get it too wet yet keeping it clean and only dabbing dry. Also, try not to scratch it and try not to wear clothing that could rub against it.
yep my scars are over a decade old, so should be easy to cover with ink!! Just got to find a desing that will cover most of them up….
